The Musica Viva String Quartet is made
up of professional musicians based in
the Yorkshire area. As they also play
other instruments, they can also offer
mixed quartets including flute, saxophone,
clarinet, banjo, double bass and piano.
The Vittorio Quartet are an exciting
versatile string quartet based in Manchester,
reaching audiences around the North
West of England with their music. They
have a wide repertoire of music for
all tastes and are available for hire
for weddings, parties, drinks receptions,
corporate events. Vittorio have been
playing together since forming 2008
at the prestigious Royal Northern College
of Music in Manchester. The quartet
have a vast repertoire and have been
finalists and highly commended for chamber
music prizes at the RNCM, as well as
receiving coaching from top musicians
from the Endellion, Tackas, Heath, Talich
and Alban Berg quartets.
The Silver Strings are a string quartet
of outstanding quality with a reputation
for their musical excellence and professionalism.
The quartet was established in 1999 and
perform a wide repertoire from classical
to swing, jazz and pop.Members of the
quartet are also freelance players for
the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, Northern
Ballet and Opera North.
Lydian String Quartet
is a professional string quartet based
in Yorkshire. Their repertoire ranges
from the sophistication of Bach, the sparkle
of Mozart, operatic classics, right through
to entertaining and witty arrangements
of Scott Joplin, George Gershwin, Cole
Porter, The Beatles, Oasis and many more.
